KATHMANDU, DEC 08 - The UCPN (Maoist) candidate in the Constituent Assembly (CA) polls under the first-past-the-post (FPTP) electoral system, Bishal Khadka, has lodged a complaint against Parbat Gurung at the Constituent Assembly Court on Sunday claiming fraud in the CA election in Dolakha constituency-1.

CPN-UML candidate Parbat Gurung had emerged victorious in the constituency.

Earlier, Nepali Congress candidate Jip Tshering Lama from Dolakha constituency-1 had also filed a separate complaint against Gurung claiming that the latter used force to take the polling centre under his influence by mobilising a large number of hooligans.

Lama and Khadka have demanded that the CA elections in the constituency be conducted again.

Gurung, Election Commission and Election Officer, among others, have been named as defendants in the petitions.

Likewise, the CA Court on Sunday directed Nepali Congress candidate Gagan Thapa
,, who won from Kathmandu constituency-4, to appear before the court within the next 10 days.

A division bench of Chairman of the Court Kalyan Shrestha, and justices Girish Chandra Lal and Sushila Karki issued such directive in the name of Thapa and Gurung as well as the Election Officers of the concerned constituencies to appear before the court within 10 days with required documents.
